Viven's concern's and questions:
On my boy. This is Ace. He is 12 years old and I have had hime for 2 years. I would like to know why he behaves the way he does and if he wants to partner with me. Everyone says his is not good for me and although he hasn't done anything bad as such, I just want to know if we have a future together and if I know what he needs, I can help him.

Ace:
She's a very nice girl. I like her a lot. She needs to learn to be more assertive with me. I can be a handful. However, I am not impossible. She's a good rider but lacks in experience. If she keeps me, she will learn a lot. Maybe she needs a trainer.  I would like to stay here. She's nice and I am happy here. She's doing what she can now. Nothing else needs to be done. Tell her to hang in there with me.

Viven's Feedback:
What he tells you is accurate. He is a handful and I think listening to others I just lost confidence in myself  and yes he is right as I always doubt my experience as I am a happy hacker and always worry I am doing something wrong and I am very happy for him to be with me. I'm also so happy to know he likes being here. I might take his advice and  do some refresher lessons . I just worry he is not doing anything at the moment than being with his horse friends. But I also wanted to give him time to just be a horse. Of course I will hang in with him now I know his thought about me. His point about being assertive is so true as he can get quite stubborn and I am a softy so I don't know how to deal with him. As I am very natural horsemanship and being an ex-racer he probably doesn't understand but I will  be a little more firm. I cannot thank you enough for the responses.

Yesterday I brought him to the round pen and  he seemed a different horse so I know he knows I am responding. I told him he was loved and we both just stood in silence his head on mine.So quiet. So peacefull. I am not the best communicator but I know in that moment he acknowledged I had reached out to you all for him. It was a moment I won't forget.
